ACM CRC’s research priorities focus on transport, energy, advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
There are several barriers spanning the current composites development lifecycle, from material design to product realisation.
Our four Research Programs tackle these and other industry challenges currently faced in Australia.
We’re striving to up-skill the country’s sovereign capacity for more valuable outcomes and to de-risk and enable future industry access to advanced automation, simulation and digitisation.
We encourage collaboration between project participants across all Programs, so all sectors can benefit.
Addressing key challenges in materials so they meet automation, affordability and circular economy requirements.
Focusing on intelligent manufacturing and the digital value chain, sensor integration and hybrid structures incorporating dissimilar materials and additive manufacturing advances.
Developing simulation and performance prediction technologies for composites materials, supporting critical technology and know-how implementation and building analyses for the circular economy.
Enhancing design processes for digital manufacturing and increasing requirements for certification-ready designs with demonstration and field installation of composite structures for technology validation.
